Developing a Recalibration Strategy as a Network

"We had a problems to address before Acts 2 could step in and help..."

  1.  How do we attract pastors to want to go to these churches that no one else wanted to go to these churches that seemingly no one wanted to go to.
  2. When pastors were in these small churches and struggling, they didn't want to start Acts 2 because they thought it was too expensive or wanted to wait until they had momentum prior to engaging in an Acts 2 Journey cohort.
  3. Once a pastor was in the church and went through an Acts 2 Journey cohort, they needed resources to be able to accomplish the vision that resulted from the Acts 2 Journey experience. At the end of the experience, they lacked funding to implement their ministry strategies.
  4. We needed to create intra-network relationships between churches that spanned from pre-Acts 2 Journey cohort and beyond.
  5. We wanted to introduce the idea that people needed to commit.

The plan:

  • Gather together a team of pastors who had recalibrated who could assist other churches
  • Change the language from "revitalize" (with its negative connotations) to "recalibrate"
  • Simplify structure and reduce complexity
  • Invest in, celebrate, and resource smaller Network affiliated churches
